My professional journey began right out of high school when I decided to follow my dad into the real estate sector. Equipped with a Colorado Real Estate license, I started down a path that taught me the basics of branding, marketing, and understanding what clients really need. After a short academic stop at Colorado State University, I took a bigger step — joining the United States Air Force in 2009.
For the next six years, I served as an engine troop with the 355th Component Maintenance Squadron at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, working on the GE TF-34 engines that power the A-10 Thunderbolt II — known to most simply as the “Warthog,” “Tank Killer,” or “Flying Gun.” I handled full cradle-to-grave maintenance operations in the backshop, from teardown and inspection to rebuild, engine break-in runs and final Quality Assurance testing. Attention to detail wasn’t just encouraged — it was critical for the safety of pilots and the success of every mission. This experience sharpened a disciplined, precision-driven mindset and built strong analytical and problem-solving skills, setting a solid foundation for everything that would follow.
Transitioning into the private sector, I continued to navigate the aerospace industry, dedicating five years to research and development testing. During this phase, I played a significant role in the development, construction and operation of data acquisition (DAQ) systems for various Department of Defense (DOD) related tests, primarily in the aerospace sector. This opportunity was a nexus of technology and innovation, where I spearheaded projects that streamlined data gathering processes, enhancing the efficacy of aerospace testing and providing critical insights through analytics.
Today, I run Dark Horses USA — a company built around hard work, real-world problem-solving, and thinking outside the box. Under that banner, I launched Dark Horse Virtue, focusing on web hosting, technology, and digital solutions. Whether it’s building a website, creating a brand, consulting on marketing, or setting up IT systems, the goal stays simple: give people the tools and control they need to own their place online. I’m a dad, a hockey player, a veteran who learned in back shops and test cells — and that experience shapes every project I take on. No shortcuts. No sales talk. No bullshit.
At Dark Horses USA and Dark Horse Virtue, the mission is simple: build real solutions for real people. No shortcuts. No gimmicks. Just hard work, sharp thinking, and tools that give you full control over your future online. If you’re ready to build something solid, I’m ready to back you up.
